In 2023, The Diablo Foundation has teamed with John Muir in its Campaign to Conquer Cancer to help fight cancer in the East Bay. We are proud to support John Muir and its efforts to build a world class cancer center right in our backyard.

Campaign to Conquer Cancer

More than 13,000 people in the East Bay are newly diagnosed with cancer each year. It’s time to meet this rapid disease rate and begin a new era of world-class, cohesive care in the East Bay Region to help loved ones and neighbors who are fighting for their lives.

Currently under construction and targeted to open in February 2024, The Cancer Pavilion, will be home to the UCSF-John Muir Health Cancer Center. This 155,000-square-foot Cancer Pavilion will offer patients the most advanced screening, treatment, prevention, survivorship services, research, and clinical trials available — all close to home — and will be the central HUB for an integrated network of cancer care sites throughout the East Bay.

Since 2020, the Diablo Foundation is proud to have supported the following organizations, with donations totaling over $70,000:

Each month, 1 in 5 residents turn to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano for emergency and supplemental food. Many of our neighbors are unable to make ends meet and the Food Bank helps them cover one of life’s basic needs — nutritious food. We strive to serve all people experiencing hunger or food insecurity in Solano and Contra Costa counties and commit to never turn anyone away.

Through our partnership with Feeding America, a nonprofit network of 200 food banks and the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, we lend support to hunger-fighting organizations in 18 Northern California counties.

We support homebound elders to maintain their health and dignity, and to live independently in the comfort and security of their own homes. We serve homebound senior citizens who have one or more chronic health conditions that prevent their preparing nutritious daily meals for themselves..

Our cause and mission are unique to anywhere in the nation. Police and Fire: The Fallen Heroes became an “official” nonprofit, 501(c)(3) on July 1, 2009 according to our Federal Tax ID and License.

Since our formation, we have grown into a nonprofit with two focus points: To Honor the Fallen Hero’s Sacrifice and to provide support and services to the families and agencies who have lost so much.
